    A.J. Hudson

    AJ Hudson is an environmental organizer, climate activist, and community educator. As a current graduate student, he hopes to one day topple the barriers separating the vast resources of universities from the urgent needs of vulnerable communities. AJ spent five years teaching and eventually co-founded a public high school in one of the most disenfranchised, polluted, and over-policed neighborhoods in Brooklyn, NY before pivoting towards environmental work. He has led community workshops on climate justice with UPROSE, organized to pass New York’s CLCPA, and helped plan and execute the nation’s largest gathering for young people of color on climate change.

    Abigail Brandt

    Abigail Brandt is a West Coast native. She has produced and directed numerous arts and literary events, edited poetry journals, and served as a poetry event consultant. She co-founded and directed the Santa Barbara Poetry Festival, and for 10 years led the Carpinteria Poetry Workshop. Her poetry has won statewide contests in California and Oregon. Her poems have appeared in literary journals including Art/Life, Café Solo, Calyx, Spectrum, and Talus & Scree, and anthologies, including California’s Wild Edge and The Geography of Home: California’s Poetry of Place. She lives in Salem, Oregon with her husband Werner Brandt.

    Abigail Sykes

    Abigail Sykes is a Sweden-based, New Zealand-born journalist, translator and educator with a focus on the Transition to sustainable, just and regenerative societies. She is a co-founder of Omställningsbyrån (The Transition Bureau), a community of professionals working with stories and conversations about Transition. Key tools include Joanna Macy’s Work that Reconnects, permaculture, and the Art of Hosting.Abigail is also a co-founder of Starfish collective, a group of activists, educators and researchers dedicated to gender equity and climate and environmental justice, where she is particularly interested in decolonisation, ecofeminism and intersectional perspectives. Starfish is inspired by research by Associate Professor Martin Hultman and Dr Paul M. Pulé that addresses patriarchal structures and dominating masculinity norms as root causes of social and environmental exploitation, and sees care for Earth, others and self as central to the development of a truly sustainable and vibrant planet for all.

    Raised in Baltimore, adélàjà is a first generation U.S.born Yoruba, Arawak and Ayisyen descended being working to use this body and this life as a vessel to lift others up and explore the questions, “What do truly regenerative, place-based human cultures that are rooted in ancestral wisdom and aligned with the evolutionary impulse look like?” “How can we align our lives with manifesting these cultures?” adélàjà is currently studying with the Animas Valley Institute, working with Growing Together to plant fruiting trees in community spaces around Oakland and offering a practice at emergeazurescens.

    Adrián Villaseñor Galarza, PhD, is passionate about human transformation in service of the living Earth. Adrián is an integral ecopsychologist, international facilitator, contemplative teacher, author, and ritualist whose work weaves the psycho-spiritual study of the Earth-human relation, animist principles, and contemplative wisdom.     Alessandra Bosco

    Alessandra Bosco, MA, is an independent research scholar, a narrative journalist, a photographer, a poet. At the intersection between social and ecological questions, art and spirituality, her work situates in the tradition of Renaissance intellectuals. She devoted the first decades of her path to social justice and the project of a social Europe within the European institutions in Brussels and Paris – whereupon she began traveling the world deepening alternative ways of living and knowing as well as dwelling in the forest and the country.
